Plate Loaded Leg Extension / Prone Leg Curl is a dual machine designed to strengthen nearly all of the muscles in the legs. When used as a prone leg curl, it targets the hamstrings, calves and hip flexors. Angled hip and chest pads in prone position to minimize spinal hyperextension. When lowering your feet back down, the buttocks (gluteus muscles), thighs (quadriceps), and front of the shins (tibialis anterior) are activated too. Whereas the leg extension works the muscles on the front or anterior of the leg, primarily working the quadriceps.
